Create a Plant Journal with From the Garden Papers!

Hello, friends!

What better use for the collections papers than to set up and embellish a plant journal!

Renee Day: Create a Plant Journal with From the Garden Paper

The newest collection from Cocoa Daisy is all about plants and aptly named 'From the Garden'. The From the Garden Collection holds a special place in my heart as I recently acquired a green thumb over the last few years (growing succulents in Michigan). In celebration of this new hobby, I started a plant journal. To start, I printed pictures of some of my favorite plants and trimmed paper available in the From the Garden Planner Kit.

To enhance the green theme of the collection, I added two sheets of kraft-colored cardstock to my notebook/journal. I used the Crop A Dile Disc Power Punch, this tool lets me add and remove pages as needed. Then I added adhesive to the backs of the Cocoa Daisy papers (these flip open) and placed them onto the cardstock.

On this page, I placed “before” and “after” pictures of a haircut I gave my plant, and indicated this with some alpha stickers in the From the Garden Planner Add on Kit. I added the  From the Garden Planner Kit sticky note and washi tape to the layout and included some journaling.

This side of the layout contains 2x3 pictures of some of my favorite succulents. I included the  From the Garden Planner Add on Kit tabs on each, making it easier to flip up and journal behind the photos. I will likely journal about the type of plant, any important plant info, and how to care for the plant.

And here is the full spread. I included a couple of beautiful butterfly stickers to the layout as the top and bottom of the right page seemed a bit too empty. Journaling my plants was so fun. I have about 15 more plants to journal about, so I’ll share those as I make my way to photograph them.
